At mardi, the locker room is ageless. Since the beginning of the adventure, mother and daughter have appropriated our pieces, shared them and offered them to each other.

In May, mothers are celebrated all over the world and we wanted to highlight them through 4 mother-daughter(s) crossover portraits.
Each On Sunday, an inspiring duo or trio will share with us their good Brussels addresses, their fashion advice, their family recipes, etc.

Their mother-daughter Sunday? 'Tea time'

Last Sunday we spent some time with Alice, her daughter, only a few weeks old, Gala and her mother, Karin.

Alice has been one of mardi's smiles since the beginning. Her mother, Karin, is the godmother of Marie, founder of the brand.
They are therefore an integral part of the family mardi and it seemed obvious to us to share a mother-daughter moment with them.

250 gr of dark chocolate
200 gr of salted butter
4 whole eggs
2 tbsp of flour
2 tbsp of sugar (of your choice)
A sheet of parchment paper

La recette, step by step

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie.

Add the salted butter to the pan little by little to obtain a smooth mixture.

Add the sugar and flour while mixing.

Remove the pan from the heat and add the 4 whole eggs.

Pour the mixture into a mold previously covered with baking paper.

Bake for 12-15 min at 180°.
