COTTON
Cotton is a natural material, very pleasant for the skin. It is an ally of choice if you are looking for all-season comfort.
We only use GOTS certified cotton, recycled cotton or from rolls of conventional cotton unearthed in the dormant stocks of major luxury houses French.
Cotton is generally easy to maintain: it stays in place, without deforming or shrinking.
WASHING
The pieces 100% cotton can be machine washed with similar colors using the delicate cycle.
Check that the temperature is set to a maximum of 30°C and that the spin is low. Do not overload your machine.
Use a gentle, environmentally friendly detergent and avoid adding fabric softener or stain remover which can alter the color.
To remove stubborn stains, rub gently with soap and water before washing.
DRYING
To dry your cotton piece, hang it in the open air and away from direct sunlight.
IRONING
Iron your cotton piece inside out while it is still damp and set your iron to a gentle temperature .
ATTENTION
Cotton jackets and coats, lined, cannot be machine washed. Choose dry cleaning.
WOOL
Wool has thermoregulatory and self-cleaning properties. It is a naturally odor-resistant, breathable material that creases little.
You will not always need to wash your wool piece after wearing it. The open air will be your best ally.
The wool crepe and our wool knits require special maintenance, see below.
WASHING
If your machine offers a “wool/delicate” program and if, and only if, you have already used this program on other 100% wool items , you can wash your wool piece in your machine with similar colors (temperature 20°C, spin 400-500 rpm).
Be sure to put your garment in a protective bag and use a mild detergent or 'wool' detergent.
Avoid harsh chemicals or stain removers, which can alter the color.
If this is not the case or, if you are in doubt, wash your piece by hand in your bath or a basin filled with lukewarm water. Leave it to soak without rubbing it for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse it with cold water.
DRYING
Dry your wool piece flat on a clean towel.
IRONING
Do not iron your wool piece, steam it with a steamer.
<tc>WOOL CREPE</tc>
In addition to the advantages of wool, wool crepe is recognized for its elasticity due to the twisting of the fibers, giving it a very particular feel.
WASHING
Wool crepe is a particularly pleasant material to wear but difficult to wash. Since it does not retain odors and creases little, you will not have to wash your piece regularly. The open air will be your best friend. Hang your piece out of the sun and it will regain its freshness.
If necessary, take your piece to dry cleaning.
IRONING
Steam your piece. Avoid ironing it. Wool crepe is sensitive to heat.
<tc>KNITS</tc>
WASHING
Wash your wool and cashmere knits in the washing machine or by hand in lukewarm water. Place your sweater inside out in a protective laundry bag. Select a cold programme (20°C) with no spin cycle. Never use fabric softener and choose mild detergents.
DRYING
We strongly advise against hanging your knitwear to dry. When soaked with water, wool can become very heavy, which may stretch the fibres and distort the sweater.
We recommend rolling your garment in a clean towel and applying gentle pressure to absorb excess water. Reshape the garment by gently pulling it back into place, then lay it flat to dry.
IRONING
Do not iron your knitwear. Instead, remove wrinkles using a steamer.
PILLING
Pilling is a natural phenomenon and is in no way a sign of poor quality. If pills appear due to localized friction, we recommend removing them gently with a fabric comb. You can also add a little white vinegar to your rinse water.
TIPS
Do not hang your knitwear on a hanger, as it may distort the garment.
Sometimes small threads may come loose from your sweater. Don’t worry. Gently pull the loose thread back inside the garment and tie a small knot. Do not cut the thread.
LINEN
Linen is a natural fibre that is temperature-regulating, biodegradable, breathable and, like wool, antibacterial. It is a local and eco-responsible fibre (grown in Belgium and in the north of France, what else?), comfortable to wear all year round.
Linen becomes softer with every wash: give it all your love, and it will give it back to you for years.
WASHING
100% linen pieces can be machine-washed using a delicate cycle.
Make sure the temperature is set to a maximum of 30°C and that the spin cycle is low. Avoid adding fabric softener and do not overload your washing machine.
DRYING
To dry your linen piece, hang it to air dry away from direct sunlight.
IRONING
Iron your linen piece inside out while it is still slightly damp, and set your iron to a low temperature.
SILK
Silk is a natural fiber with a low environmental impact. It is a delicate material, at the same time solid, thermoregulating, fluid and soft.
The silk with which we work is produced in the Lake Como region in Italy or comes from the dormant stocks of large fashion houses. French luxury goods.
WASHING
Silk is a delicate material, especially when damp. We recommend washing your silk pieces by hand (by real hand, not by “hand machine”).
Immerse your silk piece in your bath or a basin of lukewarm water. Use a mild detergent and do not scrub your silk piece. Do not let it soak for too long and rinse it in cold water.
DRYING
Dry your silk piece in the open air and sheltered from the sun.
IRONING
Iron your silk piece, still damp, on the reverse side with an iron set to low temperature.
TIPS
Avoid spraying perfume or deodorant on or around the garment, this could leave marks and stains.
When hanging your silk pieces , avoid wooden hangers. Instead, choose velvet so as not to damage the fiber.
